Crowder Cross Country placed 5th and 6th women's and men's teams

Crowder College Roughrider Cross Country runners performed exceptionally well at the NJCAA Division I National Championship in Richmond, Virginia, today.

The women earned 5th place with Faith Jeptoo leading the team in 4th place overall with a time of 17:24.6 in the 5k. Pelisha Kosgei placed 6th, Videlma Jebet placed 16th, Mercy Kibuigut placed 45th, Jasmine Hayes placed 80th, Katie Jarrett placed 94th and Ariana Blevins placed 95th.

The men earned 6th place with Brian Kprop placing 6th with a time of 23.49.1 in the 8k. Daniel Rotich placed 8th, Kelvin Kipyego placed 26th, Festus Klurgat placed 55th, Kelby Conner placed 97th, Luke Nottmeyer placed 116th, and Ridge Smith placed 132nd.

This is the third season for the cross country teams. The Roughriders are coached by Jake Holt. This completes the fall season. They will run long distance track in the spring.
