Crowder Softball Claims Two Wins in Busy March 6–7 Stretch

The Crowder College Roughrider softball team put together a strong two‑day performance March 6–7, 2026, earning two victories across four games against Northeastern Oklahoma A&M and Coffeyville Community College.


Crowder 8, NEO A&M 5 — March 6, 2026

Crowder opened the day with an 8–5 win behind explosive offensive production and aggressive baserunning.
Layla Pasley delivered a standout performance, going 4-for-4 with a home run, two RBI, and three stolen bases, while Madelief Croonen added three RBI, including a sacrifice fly. Cassidy Ellison also homered and drove in two.

On the mound, Tessa Groeneveld steadied the game with 4.2 innings, allowing 3 earned runs and striking out five, before Olivia Hemme closed with two shutout innings.


Crowder 4, NEO A&M 3 — March 6, 2026 (Game 2)

In a tightly contested rematch, Crowder edged the Lady Norse 4–3.
Once again, Layla Pasley powered the offense with three hits and a solo home run, while Callie Cooper knocked in two runs. Gracie Ford added a key RBI in the seventh.

Pitching proved decisive: Tessa Groeneveld again provided stability with 4.0 scoreless innings, while Olivia Hemme secured the win with a clean eighth inning.


Crowder 12, Coffeyville 4 — March 7, 2026

Crowder opened Saturday with a dominant 12–4 run‑rule victory in five innings.
Callie Cooper collected three hits and two RBI, while Josie Henson added three RBI of her own. Extra‑base power came from Cooper, Henson, Evelyn Comstock, and Rachel Clemenson, who all doubled.
Crowder stole nine bases, led by Karlee McCallister (2) and Carly Cook (3).

Tessa Groeneveld worked 4.0 innings, allowing just two earned runs and striking out three.


Coffeyville 15, Crowder 7 — March 7, 2026 (Game 2)

In the final game of the weekend, Coffeyville’s early seven‑run first inning proved too much for Crowder to overcome, resulting in a 15–7 loss.
Despite the deficit, Crowder battled offensively. Madelief Croonen had a strong showing with three hits and two RBI, while Karlee McCallister, Layla Pasley, and Evelyn Comstock each added RBI.
