The NJCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships represent the pinnacle of the junior college season, bringing together the nation’s top athletes after months of competitive racing and championship‑level performances. Crowder College will be well represented at this year’s meet, with multiple athletes earning qualifying spots across distance events and relays.
In the 10,000 meters, Crowder will field a strong duo in Augustine Atodonyang and Daniel Kipchumba, both of whom have demonstrated strength, consistency, and tactical racing throughout the outdoor season. Atodonyang’s endurance will be especially valuable as he takes on a demanding national schedule.
The 4x800‑meter relay team features Brian Koech, Junior Cordero, Hayden VanGennip, and Rett Hankins, with Issac Willoughby and Sila Kiseo serving as alternates. The relay group brings depth and flexibility, positioning Crowder as a contender in one of the championship’s most competitive events.
Crowder boasts a heavy presence in the 1500 meters, where Augustine Atodonyang, Sila Kiseo, Rett Hankins, and Junior Cordero have all qualified. Having four national qualifiers in a single event highlights the program’s depth in middle‑distance racing.
In the 3000‑meter steeplechase, Sila Kiseo and Issac Willoughby earned their bids with determined performances over the barriers. The 5000 meters will again feature Atodonyang alongside Daniel Kipchumba and Brian Koech, giving Crowder multiple opportunities to score valuable team points.
