The Roughrider Men's Soccer team has started a fundraising project
Coach Matthew Wolf, Head Men's Soccer Coach has hit the ground running and has started a fundraiser to kick off the fall season. See below the fundraising opportunity. #GoRoughriders!
Good afternoon,
Some of you may have not heard the news, but I finally landed a head coaching job. I'm the new Head Men's Soccer Coach at Crowder College in Neosho, MO. (Proof I did it right here!)
This season we are looking to fundraise for equipment, gear, uniforms, field maintenance and travel. I believe this year's team can compete and win the Region 16 Championship then move on to Districts.
At Crowder College we do things a little differently. Being a NJCAA program, we compete against fully-funded programs composed entirely of international student-athletes. My vision is to recruit and build a team of student-athletes from the Four State Area (Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Kansas) and sprinkle in a few internationals on top.
Being a junior college in rural Southwest Missouri, Crowder has a responsibility to provide higher-education and athletic opportunities to first-generation college students. While many dream of playing at the pro level, it is statistically unlikely. The student-athletes should have an education, skill or trade to fall back on without going into serious financial debt. With this being said and despite being the head coach for only one month, we have already secured 7 commitments from Missouri A+ Scholars-a state grant that covers the cost of tuition for students. We are committed to our vision!
Athletic Director John Sisemore has proven Crowder to be a sleeping giant. He built a 100% donor-funded 15,600 square-foot facility housing baseball, softball and soccer. He signed the largest Under Armour sponsorship deal in the NJCAA and is working on starting two more athletic programs. The baseball and softball programs are the two winningest programs in the country regardless of any level in the US in the last 5 years. I am committed to putting the Crowder College Men's Soccer Program on the same level.
I am confident we can do that with a tax deductible donation to the program. Will you help us make a difference in the lives of these young men?
Please donate here.
