Crowder picked up a much needed Region 16 win on the road at State Fair on Monday. The Roughriders got off to a bit of a slow start and found themselves trailing after one quarter 21-15. Crowder had an offensive outburst in the second outscoring the Roadrunners 35-17 to take a 50-38 lead into the half. The Roughriders weathered foul trouble in the third and fourth quarter and held on for the 90-70 victory. Freshman Fiona Wilson led the way with 29 points and 10 rebounds. Makayla White and Maia Wright each had 13 points and Gabby Adams chipped in 10. Jonisha Rolle hauled in 10 rebounds while Nathalia Silva dished out 4 assists and had 3 steals. Crowder improves to 15-13 and 2-6 in Region 16. The Roughriders will play their final regular season home game on Wednesday night as they host Moberly at 6:00 PM. The Roughrider Sophomores will be honored prior to the start of Wednesday's game.
