Crowder took on Region 16 foe Three Rivers on Saturday afternoon. Both teams traded baskets early on then Three Rivers got hot from beyond the arc hitting four treys to take a 24-17 lead after one quarter. The Raiders kept up their sharp shooting hitting 5 more treys in the second quarter to take a commanding 48-33 lead into halftime. The Roughriders edged closer in the third quarter to pull within 51-62 Crowder got it to within five at 77-72 with a little over two minutes left in the game, but three turnovers led to a 7-0 run and Three Rivers won 84-72. Crowder was led by a trio of freshman. Fiona Wilson had a career high 24 points, while Gabby Adams and Makayla White chipped in 12 and 10 points respectively. Jonisha Rolle and White each had 8 rebounds, while Maia Wright had 7. Teri Leaf had a team high 5 assists and 4 steals. Crowder falls to 11-9 and 0-2 in Region 16 play. The Roughriders are back in action on Wednesday night as they host State Fair at 6:00 PM.
