Crowder played their last home game of the semester and won in convincing fashion. Former Roughrider great Camila Lacerda brought her JV team from Oklahoma Wesleyan to take on Crowder. Crowder got off to a slow start but picked things up to lead 19-11 after one quarter. A big second quarter pushed the halftime lead to 49-18. The Roughrider offense outscored their guests 22-13 for a convincing 71-31. The two teams traded buckets in the fourth quarter and Crowder won 85-48. Freshman Teri Leaf led Crowder with a career high 17 points including 5 for 7 from behind the arc. Crowder had three others in double figures, Makayla White with 14, Ashley Reichert 13, and Jonisha Rolle 10. Maia Wright had a team high 12 rebounds. Reichert and Thathianna Sysavanh each had 5 assists. Sysavanh and Nathalia Silva had 2 steals each. Rolle set a single game record with 5 charges taken. Crowder improves to 5-3 on the season. They head to Sedalia this weekend for the Region 16 Showdown. On Friday Crowder will face Jefferson at 3:00 PM and Saturday they take on Three Rivers at 1:00 PM.
