Crowder hosted the Don Wilson Classic this past weekend and split a pair of games. On Friday night the Roughriders outscored Coffeyville in all four quarters to come away with a 72-48 victory. The Roughriders were led in scoring by Sydney Linny's 17 and Maegan Bandimere's 13. Maia Wright had 11 rebounds and Bethaney Gilkey added 10. Thathianna Sysavanh led with 4 assists and Elle Williams had 5 steals. On Saturday the Roughriders jumped out to a 23-16 first quarter lead but saw it dwindle to 38-35 at the half. A sluggish start to the third quarter saw Seminole take the lead and hold on to a 61-60 lead heading into the final quarter. Seminole outscored the Roughriders in the final quarter to hold on for the 84-77 victory. Crowder was led in scoring by Elle Williams' 21. Maia Wright and Maegan Bandimere chipped in 15 and 13 respectively. Bethaney Gilkey had a team high 8 rebounds, while Kourtney Shipley dished out 6 assists, and Sydney Linny had 3 steals. Crowder is 4-4 on the season and travels to El Reno, OK on Tuesday to take on Redlands at 5:30 PM.
