Crowder traveled to Redlands for a Tuesday afternoon game before the Thanksgiving break. The Roughriders jumped out to a 10-0 lead but the hosts came racing back to get within 15-12 after one quarter. Coley Ickes hit a shot at the buzzer to tie it up at 34 all. The Roughriders outscored Redlands 20-15 to hold a 54-49 lead after three quarters. Crowder never could pull away from the Cougars and were up one with 1:38 left when Ickes stole the inbounds pass and made a lay-up to push the lead to three. Redlands made a run on the Roughriders and were up 1 with 26 seconds left. After a Crowder timeout Ickes hit a three to put the Roughriders up by two with 15 seconds left. Redlands missed a couple of shots and the Roughriders were whistled for a foul sending Redlands to the line with 2 seconds left. They missed both free throws and Tori Coulter grabbed the rebound and was fouled. She knocked down two free throws to seal the 78-74 win. Crowder was led by Zahria White's 18 points and 12 rebounds. Four other Roughriders were in double figures with Alex Vogt and Coulter adding 12, Maegan Bandimere had 11 and Ickes chipped in 10. Michaela Mack had a team high 6 assists. There were a trio of Roughirders with 2 steals each in Coulter, Ickes, and Mack. Crowder improves to 7-3 on the season. A few days off for Thanksgiving and the Roughriders will be back in action on Tuesday Nov. 28th at home against Labette at 6:00 PM.
