The Roughriders picked up a win on the road Saturday beating Murray St 62-43. Crowder jumped out to a 6-0 lead and never trailed during the game despite poor shooting from he field. After one quarter of play the Roughriders led 10-6 and closed out the half with a 27-18 advantage. They outscored Murray St 22-14 in the third quarter to push their lead to 49-32. Crowder won the fourth quarter 13-11 for the final margin of 62-43. Morgan Crawford had an all round good performance with 15 points, 3 assists and 3 steals. Fellow Sophomore Michaela Mack led the way with 8 rebounds and 5 assists to go with her 7 points. Freshman Bethaney Gilkey had a strong performance off the bench with 12 points and 7 rebounds. Tori Coulter was 3-5 from behind the arc and chipped in 12 points for the Roughriders. Crowder improves to 9-3 on the season. The Roughriders will travel to Parsons, KS for a rematch with Labette on Tuesday at 5:30 PM.
