The Roughriders traveled to Moberly on Wednesday to take on the #6 ranked and unbeaten Greyhounds. Both teams got off to a slow start but Moberly pulled away for a 19-9 first quarter lead. Crowder cut the lead to 8 but Moberly hit a jumper just before the halftime buzzer to maintain a 10 point lead at 34-24. The Roughriders made a run in the third quarter but couldn't get it below 8 points and Moberly led 53-41 heading into the final stanza. Crowder made another run at Moberly and got as close as 7 before Moberly closed it out with a 66-53 victory. The Roughriders had a tough night from the field and the free throw line where they shot 31.9% and 57.6% respectively. Crowder was led by Morgan Crawford with 12 points and Michaela Mack with 10. Alex Vogt and Maegan Bandimere each had 5 rebounds. Mack and Coley Ickes led the team with 3 assists each, while there were players with 2 steals a piece in Ickes, Mack, Crawford and Elle Williams. Vogt led with 2 blocks. Crowder falls to 16-7 and 3-2 in Region 16 play. The Roughriders will host North Arkansas on Alumni Day this saturday at 2:00 PM. All Alumni in attendance will be recognized. We will also honor the 1992-93, 1997-98, 2002-03, and 2012-13 teams that competed in the NJCAA National tournament.
