Crowder took on the undefeated and fourth ranked Moberly Greyhounds in the Region 16 Championship on Saturday. The Roughriders kept it close in the first quarter but Moberly hit a three at the buzzer to take a 16-13 lead. The second quarter was much the same as both teams continued to struggle offensively and the Greyhounds led 32-25 at the intermission. Moberly had a big third quarter outscoring Crowder 24-13 and led 56-38 after three quarters. Crowder was able to hold Moberly to 3 points for about six and a half minutes to start the fourth quarter, but the Roughriders couldn't convert on the offenisve end and Moberly pulled away for the 70-48 victory. Crowder had a tough day shooting the basketball as they shot 31% from the field and 50% from the free throw line. Elle Williams led Crowder with 12 points and was the only player in double figures. Zahria White had a team high 9 rebounds. Maegan Bandimere, Morgan Crawford,Coley Ickes, and Michaela Mack each had 2 assists. Alex Vogt led with 2 steals. Crowder has competed played in the Region 16 Championship for the second consecutive year now and finishes the season 22-10.
