Crowder hosted Jefferson College in the first round of the Region 16 Tournament on Tuesday night at Bob Sneller Gymnasium. Crowder jumped out on a 10-1 run to start the game and ended the first quarter with a 20-8 lead. The Roughriders outscored Jefferson 22-13 in the second quarter and lead 42-21 at the half. Crowder came out of the locker room and went on a 9-0 run and lead 64-42 after three quarters. The Roughriders outscored the Vikings 18-9 in the fourth quarter to win 82-51. Crowder was led by a pair of sophomores who each had a double double. Michaela Mack had 10 points and 10 assists while Zahria White had 10 points and 11 rebounds. Tori Coulter led all scorers with 14 points shooting 4 for 8 from behind the arc. Morgan Crawford had 11 points while Alex Vogt and Maegan Bandimere each had 10. Vogt had a team high 3 steals and White led with 3 blocks. Crowder improves to 21-9 on the season and advances to the Region 16 semifinals to take on Three Rivers at 3:00 PM on Thursday. The Region 16 Tournament will be played at Lincoln University in Jefferson City.
