John Sisemore has successfully completed his fifth season as the head coach of the Crowder College Roughrider softball team. The 2018 team finished with a 54-13 record losing in the third game of the Region 16 Championship to end the season.
The 2017 team boasted an impressive 55-10 record winning the region 16 title and ranked #18 in the NJCAA Division I poll. Sisemore and Assistant Coach Sam Juarez were named 2017 Region 16 Coaches of the Year.
The 2017 team set several records including 7 Academic All-Americans. The 2017 the Roughriders also claimed honors with Fastpitch News NJCAA Division I All-American Selections; First team - Oakley Sisemore; and Second team - Paige Mendoza; NFCA New Balance Golden Shoe Award - Oakley Sisemore.
Coach Sisemore came to Crowder in the beginning of the 2014 spring semester where he posted a 40-12 season record and 18-2 region record winning the region 16 regular season.  The 2014 also defeated three other top 10 ranked opponents during their 2014 campaign.  The team had 5 first team All-Region 16 Players and 2 Region 16 All-Tournament players. The 2014 squad had a total of 5 players committing to play at the next level.
The 2015 season was also filled with tremendous accomplishments as the team boasted a 33-21 record making it to the Region 16 championship game to eventually lose to National tournament contender Jefferson College. Several players off the 2015 squad signed to play at the next level. 
Coach Sisemore brings an Impressive coaching background to Crowder. He was the head coach at Ecclesia College, Adidas National team, and an assistant coach at the University of Arkansas.
Sisemore started the Ecclesia program from scratch where he helped build an on campus field the first on campus athletic facility for the college. Sisemore also built an indoor practice facility for all sports to use. While at Ecclesia he worked closely with President Oren Paris III to purchase and develop new student housing, as well as the first new college campus building addition in several years including a new auditorium and classrooms.
Sisemore coached many standout performers: 17 NJCAA All Academic All- Americans, 21 NJCAA all region and all tournament players in the last 3 seasons. Three all SEC and NCAA All-Americans, 4 all Big 12 performers, 2 National Pro Fast pitch performers, and 3 ASA national Qualifier teams.
During Sisemore’s second season at Crowder he also accepted the job as athletic director.  
Sisemore hit the ground running signing the first and at the time the largest Under Armour contract for an NJCAA program. Sisemore also implemented a new athletic web presence taking the lead for all other region schools to follow including the region web site.
Under his direction as Athletic director the athletic program set a new record for academic All-Americans in 2016-2017 with 20.
Coach Sisemore biggest undertaking was planning and getting the immediate approval of a new 15,600 sf fieldhouse for the outdoor sports. The Freeman Fieldhouse will be the biggest addition to Crowder Athletics in over 20 years. The fully self-funded facility will house 2 new locker rooms and a much needed training room. Including a 10,000 sf practice area.

Sisemore is married to his wife Lori with three daughters: Oakley, Saylor, and Siana.
