Desmond Williams is from Dallas, TX and started playing club soccer at age 11 in North Dallas for AYSES soccer club for the top league in the area. He has played for multiple clubs throughout his youth years in North Texas including Andromeda soccer club, Texas Longhorns soccer club, and top ranked Dallas Texans Soccer Club. He’s played in big time tournaments such as the ESPN Disney Showcase in Florida and Dallas Cup where teams from all over the world come to play.
He played soccer and ran track for 2 years at McMurry University in Abilene, TX. Starting as a freshman on the field, he was second in goals scored and was nominated for freshman of the year. Desmond was an 4x All- American in track as well as a National Champion (school record and national record 24-4).
Desmond then transferred and ran track for 2 years at Missouri Southern State University where he broke the long jump record with a mark of 7.54m (24’8). Other personal best includes 10.80 in the 100m dash, 21.1 in the 200m dash, 48.6 in the 400m dash and a 47 second split in the 4x400m relay. Desmond Graduated from Missouri Southern State University with a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion and Wellness with a minor in Business Management.
Desmond also made his debut with the Semi Professional Demize PASL team in 2017 and was the leading goal scorer with 13 goals, while also playing for the semi professional Demize NPSL during the 2017 and 2018 season.
