Esports to begin October 5

Crowder College will start its 2020-21 Esports season with 7 games the week of Monday, October 5. Games will begin at 5pm unless otherwise noted:

  • Smash Bros (Tuesdays)
  • Hearthstone (Wednesdays)
  • FIFA 20 (Fridays)
  • Madden 21 (Thursdays)
  • Fortnite (Mondays 6:00 PM)
  • Rainbow 6 Siege (Mondays)
  • Rocket League (Tuesdays)

This year's team includes 30 students an increase of 50% from last semester. Last year's team competed in 4 games and had one student/athlete reach the semi-finals of FIFA, Ethan Merino.

Live streaming of games will begin the week of October 12.

The team posted a 3.05 grade point average for the inaugural season. Recruitment and tryouts for the spring team will begin in November. To participate a student must be enrolled in Crowder College full-time and meet all NJCAA requirements.
