Travis Lallemand completed his 14th year as head coach of the Crowder College Roughrider baseball team. As head coach, he’s led the Roughriders to five Region 16 Championships, in 2008, 2010, 2014, 2017 and 2019 respectively. In his 14 years at the helm, the Roughriders have had success winning 575 games, 5 Region Championships, 2 South Central District Championship and two trips to the JUCO World Series. Lallemand has been named the Region 16 Coach of the Year 5 times, in 2008, 2010, 2014, 2017and again in 2019, along with being named the South Central District Coach of the Year in 2010 & 2017. Since 2010, the Roughriders have appeared in the NJCAA National poll each year.
Also, during his 14 years as the head coach at Crowder the Roughriders have produced 43 Region 16 1st Team players, 9 NJCAA All Americans, 8 Region Players of the Year and 4 Region 16 Defensive Players of the year. Players that have played for Lallemand have had opportunities to transfer to a variety of 4 year institutions throughout the country. Lallemand has coached 87 players in his time at Crowder that have signed with Division 1 programs and 34 players have been drafted by Major League clubs. The Roughriders pitching staff has had 25 pitchers that have been selected in the Major League Baseball Amateur Draft and 43 that have signed with NCAA Division 1 schools in his years at Crowder. Altogether, nearly 200 Roughriders moved on to 4 year schools or professional baseball to continue their playing careers in the last 14 years.
Lallemand started as assistant coach for the program and guided the Roughrider pitching staff for 3 seasons prior to becoming head coach.
Coach Lallemand came to Crowder from Parsons, Kansas, where he was an assistant baseball coach for two years. He also served one year as the volunteer assistant at Berry College in Rome, GA. Lallemand is originally from Girard, Kansas. Lallemand prepped at Girard High School, Kansas and went on to play collegiate baseball at Labette Community College before transferring to Berry College in Rome, GA.
Lallemand is married to the former Jennifer Gardner of Waterloo, Illinois and they live in Neosho with their 4 year old sons Luc Robert.
