Crowder Soccer Win's Their Home Opener
The Crowder Soccer team won their 2018 home opener vs. Murray State 5-2.
It took 15 minutes into the match when Danny Lindo opened up the scoring for the Roughriders. He took a pass from Sebastain Smeed and put it into the back of the net.
The lead didn't last long for the Roughriders. There was a GK mistake and Murray State tied it up 1-1.
After that, Crowder took control of the match when Danny Lindo scored again off a long ball from Daniel Doherty to take the lead 2-1.
Early in the 2nd half Evandro Conceicao buried a PK into the net to give Crowder a 3-1 lead.
After that, Salvador Gonzalez found Danny Lindo and he completed a hat trick and gave Crowder a 4-1 lead.
Murray State got a late goal off a corner kick, but with 11 seconds left Daniel Doherty had a goal from about 20 yards out to finish off the game 5-2.
The Roughriders will return to action this Saturday as they travel to Rose State College for a 2:00 PM kickoff.
Their next home game will be Tuesday September 2nd hosting Eastern Oklahoma State. The game is set to begin at 5:00 PM.
